The location is great for everything we wanted to do. We walked to the Empire State Building, Rockefeller, Times Square, 5th Avenue and Central Park plus many others. It's easy to reach the subway on 42nd and get further afield. We flew into JFK and got the LIRR to Penn Station and walked to the hotel from there. The front desk are friendly and helpful. There are ice machines and vending machines and a 7/11 at the end of the street. There are two computers in reception to print boarding passes etc. The check in and out was quick smooth and effortless the front of house staff pleasant and chatty. Room we got the king size bed which was great bed was just right, not too hard or too soft. We had a good night sleep. Hotel was quiet at night. The construction right in front of the hotel didn't bother our sleep. Quite spacious room. It has closet with seats we can sit or hang our stuff. Bathroom is Clean and smells clean. We got free toiletries and clean towels everyday. You can request other stuff like toothbrush and such. The only thing I was hoping they will have is bidet. The breakfast was all you could ask for fresh pancakes, bagel, omelet , toast and cereals hot fresh coffee and plenty of milk and yogurts, the staff in the breakfast room were fabulous very welcoming and happy all the time, happy to chat with everyone makes a lovely change smiling people in the morning made my stay much better The elevator was disappointing: it went out of order in many occasions and it would be difficult for them to fix it. About 8-10 people were stuck in between 8th-9th floor for about 20 minutes before we were able to get out. The bell button was not working correctly and it took some muscle to get somebody to respond. Do take note that this happened during Winter so everybody in that elevator were wearing thick coats and it was all adding up to the claustrophobic anxiety we were all about to get into. At situations like this people are quick to panic.
