We arrived late at night by car and it was not easy to spot the hotel from the road as there was no Ibis sign at the hotel entrance. Reception staff was friendly and efficient to issue our room key. We used the hotel garage, I believe it was around 25 CHF a night. However, there would probably have been cheaper on-street parking in the area. The good thing is that they keep the bar open until after midnight. The room itself was very basic and quite small, but that is what you can expect from an IBIS. The room was clean and we did not have any issues with the noise even though there was some construction work going on early in the morning just outside our window. The bathroom is small but clean and modern. We did not eat in the hotel but found plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walk and a large co-op supermarket. Another bonus is the Basel Card which you receive on check-in, provides free public transport and right on your doorstep is a tram stop. Would recommend the hotel.
