We spent four days here in August and found it a haven of peace and beauty. Imagine our eyes widen when we were shown into our room and found it was the one with the enormous bay window above the front door, looking out across the lovely gardens with its fine old trees, down to the Lough and gently lapping sea. The room was enormous by hotel standards and gracefully furnished and decorated. The style and atmosphere are traditional and luxurious, with modern plumbing and bathrooms and personal, friendly and attentive service. The food in the fine dining restaurant is excellent, with a good choice of wines. The unusual thing is the 'Tap Room' cellar pizza bar, selling draft Kinnegar beers and pizzas straight out of a real pizza oven, as well as in Italy. It's a great place for families with young children, making evening meals affordable as well as delicious. It is not open every night of the week, though, so worth checking. Breakfasts are generous, with a large buffet and specially cooked choices, including my favorite Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. We were seriously unwound by the time we left with fond memories and affection for the house and staff. Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.
