My teenager 14 was not allowed in the pool because it was to early. 1 hour to early. My working life removes me from my family, to much, so l value every moment with them, including spending time in the facilities. I and my family have been going to west lodge for many years, and have never been refused from the swimming pool. Because of our time restraint heading home schedule, and for me to get to work, waiting longer to get into the facility was not an option. The reason given was not acceptable, because of previous complaints by the elderly. My son is a well behaved and responsible boy not a child. He plays rugby at the highest level, hense the reason for the pool to relax. I work for a large pharmacueatil multi national in ringaskiddy, I will be removing westlodge of our recommended places to stay over, for local and international. If a family cannot share what little time they have together, Westlodge is not a family friendly place. This incident has ruined my precious time I had for the weekend, and so, we will not return to westlodge.I would suggest a more common sense approach in the future. If the elderly are being catered for over residents, because of policy or history then its a poor business plan.
